IITCC Vision

The Institute envisions a mechanism by which the Tamil Culture can be given a new lease on life and published biannually as a premier journal to the worldwide audience befitting the status of Tamil as a classical language.

IITCC Mission

In order to attain its vision, the Institute has developed a few strategies. The mission is to strengthen and broaden the scope of its activities by seeking collaboration from well-known scholars, (1) by prompting them to continue their research, and (2) by encouraging and providing financial assistance to young scholars and doctoral students to investigate vigorously various issues and topics in Tamilology under the guidance of eminent scholars.

The immediate objective:

Publishing Tamil Culture, biannually starting from the year 2009.

Long-range objectives:

1. Encouraging, supporting research in Tamilology.
2. Conducting International conference/seminars on select topics in Tamilology.
3. Reprinting rare books on Tamilology and publishing original research papers and books.
